World Rabies Day 2025: Protecting Dogs, Protecting Communities
World Rabies Day is more than just a date on the calendar. It’s a vital reminder of the ongoing fight against this preventable viral disease that threatens both animals and people.
This year, for World Rabies Day, our team vaccinated 75 shelter dogs against rabies and other deadly disease. But our mission didn’t stop there – we also provided treatment for painful skin conditions, tick and flea infestations, and other health issues.
Working together towards a rabies-free future: what can you do?
- Vaccination – Vaccines are the most effective way to protect animals and communities from rabies. Ensuring your animals are vaccinated doesn’t just safeguard their health; it contributes to a rabies-free future.
- Responsible Pet Ownership – Caring for pets means regular veterinary visits, keeping up with vaccinations, and being proactive about their health and wellbeing.
- Public Education – By spreading awareness of how rabies is transmitted, prevented, and recognised, we can empower people to keep themselves, their families, and their animals safe.
Every dog vaccinated brings us one step closer to eliminating rabies. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who donated, shared, and supported this mission. With your continued help, we can protect more lives – both two-legged and four-legged – and work toward a healthier future for all.
