We had the pleasure of visiting Rangjik School to continue our mission of educating the next generation about animal welfare.
Life-Saving Cases at PAT
November 2025 was one of PAT’s busiest months of the year and a powerful reminder of why our community work matters so deeply.
Throughout the month, our team sterilised and vaccinated more than 240 roaming and stray dogs, helping prevent future suffering and reducing the number of unwanted litters in the region. We also carried out education events at local schools, teaching young students the importance of kindness, responsible pet ownership, and compassion for animals.
But sterilisation and education were only part of the story. November also brought us four urgent medical cases, each a stark example of how vulnerable community dogs are and how essential your support is in giving them a second chance.
Mamma Dog – Cruelly Bound
This case shocked us all. A gentle mother dog was found with nylon rope tied tightly around her mouth, causing a deep and painful wound. She had recently given birth, and we can only imagine the fear and suffering she endured while trying to care for her puppies.
Our team removed the rope, cleaned and treated the wound, and returned her to her litter as quickly as possible. She and her puppies will be sterilised once they are old enough.
Cruelty like this should never happen. Community dogs don’t choose to be homeless – and they rely entirely on human kindness. Sterilisation, not violence, is the only humane way to reduce overpopulation.
Uncle Sam – A Horrific Injury, a Remarkable Recovery
We were alerted to a stray dog in terrible condition. When we found him, Uncle Sam was barely surviving, with a severe infected wound likely caused by a bite.
Thanks to urgent treatment, daily care, and lots of patience, Uncle Sam pulled through. His wound healed beautifully, and he has now returned safely to his territory. Without intervention, we are certain he would not have survived.
We’re so grateful to everyone who helped support his treatment – it genuinely saved his life. Without donations, we cannot continue this work.
Lucy – Thin, Frightened and in Desperate Need of Help
Sweet Lucy was found extremely underweight and suffering from a large infected abscess, most likely from being attacked by other dogs.
She had no one looking out for her.
Our team stepped in, providing daily wound cleaning, antibiotics, and pain relief. She is still under our care for now, growing stronger every day.
Lucy’s case is a heartbreaking reminder that many stray animals suffer silently.
A Loved Community Dog in Need of Help
We also assisted a well-known beach dog who was believed to have a broken leg. Locals adore her so much that they keep her warm with a tiny T-shirt during the cooler weather.
Thankfully, her leg wasn’t actually broken – just injured. We treated her with medication, pain relief, joint supplements, and gave her deworming and preventive care.
We’re grateful she has such a caring support network who alerted us about her condition.
