In two days, 50 animals were sterilised and vaccinated to prevent further stray population growth. We treated 11 for skin issues, fleas, and ticks, and gave 9 dogs parasite medication. We’re also supplying food to community feeders for several months.
Spreading Smiles and Awareness Through our Education Project
This month, the PAT team had the wonderful opportunity to visit Rangjik School as part of our ongoing efforts to educate local communities about animal welfare and rabies prevention.
Our mission at PAT goes beyond spaying and vaccinating stray animals – it’s also about creating lasting change through education. By reaching young students, we aim to build a future where animals are treated with kindness, empathy, and respect.
At Rangjik School, we focused on three key messages:
✅ Understanding animal welfare
✅ Learning how to interact safely with roaming and pet dogs
✅ Recognising the importance of rabies prevention
Through fun and interactive activities, the students learned how to stay safe around dogs, why neutering and vaccinations matter, and how they can be part of a more compassionate future for animals in their communities.
Their enthusiasm was infectious – from bright-eyed curiosity to big smiles during games and quizzes. To celebrate their participation, we handed out small prizes, which added even more excitement to the day!
We believe these sessions are vital – not only for the safety and well-being of the children but also for the animals they share their lives and communities with.
We’re incredibly grateful to the staff at Rangjik School for their warm welcome and support. We look forward to visiting more schools across the region and continuing our mission to inspire the next generation of animal advocates.
Together, we’re creating a kinder world for people and animals.
